isabelline

adjective
A pale brownish-yellow colour. From Isabelle, Queen of Spain. When the princess accompanied her husband, Archduke Albertus on his expedition to lay siege to Ostend, the princess vowed to not change her clothes until it was taken. It took three years, and in that time the princess’ linen had acquired the isabelline hue.
